According to the report, the merged operations would be led by Li Jie, who would report directly to Pete Lau, also known as Liu Zuohu. This leadership structure indicates a tighter integration of decision-making processes and a more centralized approach to innovation and execution.
Industry analysts believe such a move could help both brands optimize costs, accelerate product development cycles, and enhance their global positioning. OnePlus has traditionally focused on premium and flagship devices, while Realme has built a strong presence in the mid-range and budget segments.
