Xiaomi Quietly Launches Redmi M100 Pro With 120Hz OLED Display and 50MP Camera

Xiaomi has quietly introduced a new mid-range smartphone, the Redmi M100 Pro, in China. The device arrives with a combination of features that includes a 120Hz OLED display, a 50-megapixel camera and a large 5,500mAh battery.

Powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 7300-Ultra chipset, the smartphone is designed to deliver a balanced experience for everyday users. It comes with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, providing sufficient capacity for multitasking, applications and media files.

The Redmi M100 Pro carries an approximate price tag of $350 and is available in four colour options. Its launch has attracted attention because several of its specifications closely resemble those of the Redmi Note 14 Pro, which Xiaomi introduced in international markets in 2024.

The similarities suggest that Xiaomi is bringing a familiar hardware combination to another device in its Redmi smartphone lineup.

The phone features a 6.67-inch curved OLED screen with a resolution of 2712 × 1220 pixels. Its 120Hz refresh rate is intended to provide smoother scrolling, animations and transitions, particularly when navigating supported applications and content.

Display brightness is another notable feature. Xiaomi states that the screen can reach up to 3,000 nits of peak brightness in small areas, which may improve visibility when viewing compatible content in bright environments.

For additional protection, the display is covered by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The panel also supports 1,920Hz PWM dimming, a technology designed to help reduce visible screen flickering at lower brightness levels.

In terms of construction, the Redmi M100 Pro measures approximately 8.2mm in thickness and weighs around 190 grams. It also carries an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance, adding protection against everyday exposure to environmental elements.

Xiaomi is offering the smartphone in Black, White, Cyan and Purple. The Purple edition stands out with a leather-like finish on its rear panel, giving buyers an alternative appearance compared with the other colour variants.

Photography is another part of the device’s specification package. The Redmi M100 Pro includes a 50MP camera, while its overall hardware is supported by the Dimensity 7300-Ultra processor. The 5,500mAh battery is intended to provide power throughout regular daily use.

Although the Redmi M100 Pro shares several specifications with the Redmi Note 14 Pro, its introduction gives Xiaomi another option in the mid-range smartphone category. The combination of a curved OLED display, high refresh rate, substantial battery capacity and IP68 protection makes it a device worth watching.

For now, the phone has been launched in China. Details about a possible international release, including availability in Pakistan, have not been confirmed in the provided announcement.
