Huawei’s First Osta Smartphones Revealed in New Leak

Huawei is reportedly preparing to introduce a new smartphone sub-brand called Osta, with two flagship-level devices expected to headline its initial lineup.

According to information shared by Chinese tipsters Digital Chat Station and Fixed Focus Digital, the upcoming range will include the Osta O1 and Osta O1 Pro. The leaked details also suggest that Huawei plans to use the Osta branding on the devices’ retail packaging.

The development follows earlier reports that Huawei was working on a new sub-brand under the name Xingmang, a Chinese term that can be translated as Starlight or Starburst.

However, the latest leaks indicate that Osta could be the official English name used for the brand. The company has not yet publicly confirmed the reported branding or announced an official launch date.

The two upcoming smartphones are also expected to feature noticeably different designs, giving each model its own appearance.

The standard Osta O1 is reportedly being developed with a display featuring curves on all four sides. Its rear design is expected to include a large circular camera module, creating a distinctive look for the handset.

The Osta O1 Pro, meanwhile, is tipped to have a wider body with slim bezels surrounding all four sides of the display. Unlike the standard model, the Pro version is expected to feature a horizontal camera strip on the back.

These reported design differences suggest that Huawei may position the two smartphones as separate options within its new premium-focused lineup.

The leaks have generated interest because the launch of Osta could represent a new branding direction for Huawei’s smartphone business. A dedicated sub-brand may allow the company to introduce devices with a distinct identity while continuing to operate under the wider Huawei ecosystem.

However, important specifications remain unknown. Details about the processors, camera capabilities, battery capacity, charging speeds, pricing and availability have not been confirmed in the information currently circulating.

It is also unclear when Huawei will officially introduce the Osta O1 and Osta O1 Pro or whether the devices will be released in markets outside China.

For now, the reported smartphone names and design details should be treated as leaks rather than confirmed product specifications. More information is expected to emerge as the anticipated launch approaches.
