Lenovo’s New $30 Smartwatch Offers Large AMOLED Display and 9-Day Battery

Lenovo has introduced a new budget-friendly smartwatch aimed at users looking for fitness tracking and everyday smart features without spending heavily. The Lenovo Watch Fit 3 has been launched at 199 yuan, which is approximately $30.

The affordable smartwatch combines a relatively large AMOLED screen with health and fitness-focused functions, making it an interesting option in the entry-level wearable market.

The Lenovo Watch Fit 3 comes with a 1.96-inch AMOLED display that offers a resolution of 410 × 502 pixels. The larger screen is designed to provide a clearer viewing experience for notifications, fitness information and other smartwatch functions.

Its display is noticeably larger than the 1.43-inch AMOLED panels used on models such as the Lenovo Watch S and the 2024 Lenovo Watch. Lenovo has added 2.5D curved tempered glass to provide additional protection for the screen.

The smartwatch features an electroplated zinc alloy frame, giving the device a more premium appearance despite its budget positioning. Its physical buttons are made from oxidized aluminum alloy.

Lenovo has also used an IML electroplating process for the rear cover and heart-rate sensor lens. These design choices give the Watch Fit 3 a more refined construction compared with many inexpensive smartwatches.

The device measures 47 × 39.8 × 9.9mm, making it relatively compact for a smartwatch with a nearly two-inch display. It comes with a silicone strap designed for everyday use and fitness activities.

Another notable feature is its IP68 dust and water resistance rating. This certification provides protection against dust and certain levels of water exposure, making the watch more suitable for regular daily use.

Battery performance is another major selling point of the Lenovo Watch Fit 3. The smartwatch is advertised with battery life of up to nine days, potentially reducing the need for frequent charging.

For users who regularly track workouts, monitor activity or receive notifications throughout the day, longer battery life can be particularly useful. It also makes the device more convenient for people who do not want to charge their smartwatch every night.

The Watch Fit 3 is positioned as an affordable wearable that combines a large AMOLED display, fitness-oriented functions, health monitoring and practical everyday features.

At around $30, Lenovo is targeting consumers who want basic smartwatch capabilities at a significantly lower price than premium wearable devices. Its combination of display size, build materials, water resistance and battery life could make it an attractive option for budget-conscious buyers.

The launch also highlights the growing competition in the affordable smartwatch segment, where manufacturers are increasingly offering features once associated with more expensive wearable devices.

For consumers considering a low-cost smartwatch, the Lenovo Watch Fit 3 stands out with its large AMOLED screen and claimed nine-day battery life while maintaining a budget-oriented price point.
